Today’s Thought: The source of our convictions.

It is out of one’s belief or disbelief in God that all other convictions are formed.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

I find this quote to be very true, and worth thinking about. Whenever someone is searching themselves to find out what the ‘meaning of life’ is, usually they ask themselves whether or not the believe in God. It is on this answer that they base all of their convictions in their life, whether they choose to do what is right according to the teachings of God, or to do what they want (and label it freewill).

The term ‘freewill’ puzzles me. Atheists use it to establish that they are not the puppet of any being and that they choose what they do in their life, and also tend to say that people who follow a religion are not exercising freewill.

That’s not correct. Those who CHOOSE to follow the teachings of God CHOOSE to do so using their freewill.
