Standing Up: New Mexico Internal Checkpoint
This guy was detained at an internal U.S. Border Patrol checkpoint and given the runaround. I understand that these agents have a very important job to do (or did…according to Janet Napolitano, crossing the border illegally is not a crime), but there’s no need for trying to threaten people when you really don’t have cause. This guy knew his rights, and even though he had to butt heads with some government butt-heads, he was right…and they knew it. Or, rather, their superiors knew it. It’s a 27 minute video, but worth the watch.
What will you do when the government tries to deny your rights?
