Palin Trying to Incite Violence?

Allow me to point out why I think the left is absolutely nuts, politically.

Here’s a bit from the *shudder* Huffington Post:

At her last rally in Florida, Sarah Palin told the audience that Barack Obama “palled around with terrorists” adding,”I am just so fearful that this is not a man who sees America the way you and I see America.” Upon hearing the Republican VP candidate’s concern that Sen. Obama might be a terrorist, a voice in the crowd cried out ‘Kill him!’

[skip to the next part, some commentary added by me]

The ‘dangerous road,’ however, is not just a generic attack on Sen. Obama’s trustworthiness or honesty. Rather, the McCain campaign has chosen to stand before campaign rallies and accuse Sen. Obama of hiding sympathies with domestic terrorists–to accuse their opponent, essentially, of being a terrorist.

Uh, yeah, Bill Ayers…anyway, does that make Obama a terrorist? No. This tard is trying to make us believe that conservatives are calling Obama himself a terrorist, which is not true.

With the McCain campaign now using the Palin stump speech to accuse Sen. Obama of hiding a terrorist agenda, the McCain campaign has staked its future on rhetoric that skirts the boundary between character assassination and incitements of actual violence against their opponent.

Not a ‘terrorist’ agenda, a ‘radical’ agenda. And I DARE you to find ONE instance where McCain/Palin tried to incite actual violence against ANYONE in the Obama camp, you obnoxious twit.

In a recent video clip from MSNBC, McCain asked a rally, “Who is the real Barack Obama?” In response to McCain’s rhetorical question, a voice from the crowd can be clearly heard to shout in response, “Terrorist!”

So, I take it that some nut in the crowd yelling something stupid is purely McCain’s fault? With that logic, I suppose that Bill Ayers’ bombings were the government’s fault for going to Viet Nam, right? Put blame where it belongs…that whack job in the crowd you so-called journalist!

One wonders at this point how the various agencies charged with the responsibility of protecting the Presidential candidates from violence will respond to this latest tactic from the McCain campaign. If, for example, a McCain supporter threatens the life of Sen. Obama by shouting ‘Kill him!’ at a Palin rally, should Sen. Obama’s Secret Service contingent launch an investigation? Having been accused of terrorist ties by the McCain campaign, will Sen. Obama’s name be put on the ‘No Fly’ list, effectively making it impossible for him to engage in normal airline travel?

If you feel that you should investigate the nut in the crowd, then yeah, go ahead and check the idiot out. According to this, you want them to check out McCain’s supporters in general, which is, as you call it, guilt by association… You claim to hate stereotypes, but insist on applying them to conservatives. Terrorist ties? If Bill Ayers is a terrorist, and Obama is a friend of his, then what is that? No, that doesn’t mean Obama is guilty of anything, but it does make you wonder. Birds of a feather, right? I mean if you can apply that to all McCain supporters because of one moron in the crowd, I think we can apply it to a bunch of radicals with one nice guy in the crowd.

An even more basic question, perhaps: Is Gov. Palin trying to incite violence against Sen. Obama as part of an ill-conceived campaign strategy to change the topic from the economy at any cost?

Maybe she should. I’m kidding. Of course she shouldn’t, nor would she. One idiot screaming his idiot opinion does not equal ‘inciting violence’. In fact, I have another post coming up on that shortly…

Yes, it’s an old HuffPo piece. I just stumbled across it and thought that I should point out some of the left-wing rhetoric and spin. Unfortunately, most people I believe don’t care enough about politics to pay attention, and they feel they can trust major media outlets. That’s just not the case, some times.

I’m going to go disinfect my computer now. Ew.
