Obama’s Friends: Four More Terrorists

October 02, 2008 By: Wess Stewart Category: Uncategorized

What do Howard Machtinger, Jeff Jones, Steve Tappis and Mark Rudd have in common?

1. They all have endorsed Barack Obama and are calling for more grassroots support of Mr. Obama.

Hmm…what else? Those names sound so familiar…oh yeah, that’s it!

2. They are all former top leaders of The Weathermen, a terrorist group that claimed responsibility for bombing US federal buildings in the 1970’s.

This is in addition to the other Weather Underground leaders Bill Ayers and Bernadette Dohrn who have been friends of Obama’s since the beginning. Wow.

Let’s see, the Weather Underground, Hamas…I don’t even need to continue. If these people aren’t a threat to the US, I don’t know who is.

It’s nice to know that all the radicals who are willing to attack US citizens are for Obama. I’m not sure if its because he shares their position on issues (likely) or because they want a weak president who will overlook their violent methods (also likely).

You know, back when I was young and stupid I used to play around with computers a bit too much. By that, I mean I was published in a well known hacker magazine and ran a hacker website. One would think that given my past, I’d be pro-Obama, and ten years ago, I may have been.

Fortunately, I grew up a bit. My former more liberal views have changed. I realized that the things I was in favor of and were participating in were wrong, so I gave them up.

Bill Ayers still proudly admits that they bombed buildings and wishes they could have done more, and doesn’t rule out the possibility of doing it again.

Wow. I’m not even old enough to remember these events (which occured before I was born), but I’ve apparently come a bit farther than some of these radicals.

That’s just what the US needs…a president with a terrorist army who can rival Al Qaeda and fight them on their own terms. Reduce government spending on weapon systems by implementing homemade explosive devices. Nice.

Not that I’m against non-standard weaponry…I’m not. However I fail to see how anyone can think this type of endorsement is a good thing in ANY way.

Bailout Plan: Spin city?

September 27, 2008 By: Wess Stewart Category: Economics, Spin, Thoughts

The bailout plan is retarded. Unfortunately, it has become necessary to do something about the situation, right?

Didn’t McCain say that something needed to be done about the Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac risks, I dunno, three years ago?

Wasn’t his proposal shot down by the Dems?

Why did the Democrats say they had a plan when they met with the president when they didn’t really have one?

Why are they blaming McCain and the Republicans for screwing up the meeting?

True, the Reps are not agreeing to the plan that was presented. $700 billion with 20% going to earmarks for groups like ACORN. No conservative in their right mind (or Democrat) would sign on to that thing. Not without lots of reform.

In the meantime, here’s my view of what has just been set up. I could be way off, and this could just be me starting a new conspiracy, or whatever. This is a question that I have though.

This $700 billion bailout ‘plan’ was thrown together as a ploy. The plan was to have something that the Democrats WERE CAPABLE OF PASSING on their own without the Republicans. However, to appear non-partisan, they refuse to do it without the Republicans…all while screaming that something ‘had to be done by Friday’ (yesterday) or the financial world was going to end as we know it. Then when the Republicans reject the plan, they blame McCain for it because he showed up. Forget that he didn’t really say much about the plan during the meeting…

By doing this, a couple of things have happened:

1. The Republicans look like they are stalling. Now that Friday has come and gone, if something major happens (again), the Democrats will blame the Reps for stalling the bailout and not fixing the problem.

2. The Democrats have forced the Republicans into a place that, thanks to the help of the media, looks very bad. They’ve created a sense of urgency and have made it appear that the waiting is all the fault of the Republicans when the Dems have knowingly and willfully presented a bill that they knew without a doubt that the Republicans would not approve of in an attempt to make the Reps look bad to the public.

If the Democrats pass this without the Republicans (which they can), they win by default and the Republicans failed to take action to prevent the harm to the taxpayers, making them look bad.

If the Republicans sign on to this bill, the Democrats win, and in the ensuing crap storm the Republicans will be blamed on them because they were ‘needed’ to pass a bill that was full of garbage, making them look bad.

If the Republicans say no (which they have), the Democrats use the media to make it look like the Republicans are stalling and screwing things up (which the Dems are doing), and any negative fallout will be blamed on the Republicans, making them look bad.

In the meantime, the Democrats are probably sitting around patting themselves on the back and enjoying their success in making the Republicans look like a spectacle to the general public who believe everything the media has fed them.

I will admit that you have to give the Dems credit for such a brilliant and effective strategy, albeit a bit evil. You force your enemy into a posiition where they look bad no matter what they choose to do.

Non-partisan my butt. The Democrats aren’t putting their country first, they are pushing their political agenda with this and trying to win over the taxpayers who ought to know better by using spin and strongarm tactics to make conservatives look like fools. And unless the conservatives continue to fight, and stand up and defend themselves and use some power plays of their own, the taxpayers will lose this fight, no matter who gets what bill passed.

Obama Trying to Delay Iraq Withdrawl

September 16, 2008 By: Wess Stewart Category: Election 2008, Military Operations, Spin

Obama and Petraeus

Seriously? I thought this was a Bush/More Bush tactic! No, I didn’t make this up. This is coming from the New York Post:

According to Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari, Obama made his demand for delay a key theme of his discussions with Iraqi leaders in Baghdad in July.

“He asked why we were not prepared to delay an agreement until after the US elections and the formation of a new administration in Washington,” Zebari said in an interview.

Obama insisted that Congress should be involved in negotiations on the status of US troops - and that it was in the interests of both sides not to have an agreement negotiated by the Bush administration in its “state of weakness and political confusion.”

Now, the question I have is this: why would someone who is so vocal about being anti-war wanting to extend it? Especially when he’s been attacking McCain (and everyone else on the right) for being ‘just another Bush’?

I think I’d have to agree with the Iraqi’s on this answer:

Iraqi leaders are divided over the US election. Iraqi President Jalal Talabani (whose party is a member of the Socialist International) sees Obama as “a man of the Left” - who, once elected, might change his opposition to Iraq’s liberation. Indeed, say Talabani’s advisers, a President Obama might be tempted to appropriate the victory that America has already won in Iraq by claiming that his intervention transformed failure into success.

Maliki’s advisers have persuaded him that Obama will win - but the prime minister worries about the senator’s “political debt to the anti-war lobby” - which is determined to transform Iraq into a disaster to prove that toppling Saddam Hussein was “the biggest strategic blunder in US history.”

Other prominent Iraqi leaders, such as Vice President Adel Abdul-Mahdi and Kurdish regional President Massoud Barzani, believe that Sen. John McCain would show “a more realistic approach to Iraqi issues.”

Obama has given Iraqis the impression that he doesn’t want Iraq to appear anything like a success, let alone a victory, for America. The reason? He fears that the perception of US victory there might revive the Bush Doctrine of “pre-emptive” war - that is, removing a threat before it strikes at America.

Change we can believe in. Whatever makes Obama look good to the liberals is good for Obama’s America.

Whatever.

Lindsey Lohan on Sarah Palin

September 14, 2008 By: Wess Stewart Category: Election 2008

The drugs have taken effect. Snide remarks in brackets are inserted by me. From MySpace Celebrity Blog:

I really cannot bite my tongue anymore when it comes to Sarah Palin.

[Oh no, here we go now...]

I couldn’t be more supportive of a woman in office, but let’s face it, it comes down to the person, and their beliefs, male or female.

[Really? I thought it had more to do with their status as a media magnet or a good public speaker...]

Is it a sin to be gay? [Yes] Should it be a sin to be straight? [It's not] Or to use birth control? [Depends on what type] Or to have sex before marriage? [Yes] Or even to have a child out of wedlock? [I'm starting to see a pattern emerge here, Lindsey...]

I find it quite interesting that a woman who now is running to be second in command of the United States, only 4 years ago had aspirations to be a television anchor.

[Hey...that's not fair. Not everyone is as talented an actor as Arnold...]

Which is probably all she is qualified to be…

[This from someone who couldn't tell a pill from a bottle of scotch or operate a motor vehicle...but who's really keeping score?]

Also interesting that she got her passport in 2006.

[Some people just don't have the need to go to Amsterdam.]

And that she is not fond of environmental protection considering she’s FOR drilling for oil in some of our protected land…. Well hey, if she wants to drill for oil, she should DO IT IN HER OWN backyard.

[Uhhh...hello...just where do you think ANWR is? No, it's not that new shop on Rodeo Drive, you moron.]

This really shows me her complete lack of real preparation to become the second most powerful person in this country.

[This really shows Lindsey Lohan's complete lack of real preparation to freely comment on political issues...period.]

Hmmmm-All of this gets me going-Fear, Anxiety, Concern, Disappointment, and Stress come into play…

[No, you idiot, that's the cocaine and the pot!]

Is our country so divided that the Republicans best hope is a narrow minded, media obsessed homophobe?

[Of course not, we'd much rather vote for someone recommended by a drug addicted, media obsessed goon.]

I know that the most important thing about this election is that people need to exercise their right to vote, regardless of their choice… I would have liked to have remained impartial, however I am afraid that the “lipstick on a pig” comments will overshadow the issues and the fact that I believe Barack Obama is the best choice, in this election, for president…

[Oh, no worries. He wasn't talking about the issues that us narrow-minded homophobes are concerned about, anyway...like his terrorist friend or total lack of judgment.]

Palin’s Desire to “save and convert the gays”-really??

According to this Associated Press story, the church of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is hosting a kind of conference devoted to the “conversion of Gays” — no kidding.

Here’s the AP text:

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) ? Gov. Sarah Palin’s church is promoting a conference that promises to convert gays into heterosexuals through the power of prayer.

You’ll be encouraged by the power of God’s love and His desire to transform the lives of those impacted by homosexuality,” according to the insert in the bulletin of the Wasilla Bible Church, where Palin has prayed since she was a child.

Palin’s conservative Christian views have energized that part of the GOP electorate, which was lukewarm to John McCain’s candidacy before he named her as his vice presidential choice. She is staunchly anti-abortion, opposing exceptions for rape and incest, and opposes gay marriage and spousal rights for gay couples.

http://zennie2005.blogspot.com/2008/09/sarah-palins-church-hosts-anti-gay.html

[Yeah, some people believe that homosexuality is a sin. People like, oh I dunno, the Apostles, Jesus, God, etc. I think they are more reliable for guidance than a 22 year old cokehead. Go figure.]

I feel it’s necessary for me to clarify that I am not against Sarah Palin as a mother or woman.

[Yeah, because that would be ironically sexist, right?]

Women have come a long way in the fight to have the choice over what we do with our bodies… And its frightening to see that a woman in 2008 would negate all of that.

[I'm still waiting on the day when babies have the right to choose if they want to live or die. Lindsey, you've obviously chosen to be an idiot.]

Oh, and…Hint Hint Pali Pal- Don’t pose for anymore tabloid covers, you’re not a celebrity, you’re running for office to represent our, your, my COUNTRY!

[Yes, people should really stay off of tabloid covers...]

Lindsey Lohan Tabloid Drugs

And in the words of Pamela Anderson, “She can suck it”..

[I won't add anything here.]

Lindsay- “I have faith that this country will be all that it can be with the proper guidance. I really hope that all of you make your decisions based on the facts and what feels right to you in your heart-vote for obama!”

[This country is already pretty good...I mean, you aren't being caned for your drug and alcohol induced mishaps. Trust me, I think most Americans can make decisions based on the facts. Well, the sober ones that know that celebs really shouldn't be making political comments when they don't have any real knowledge of it. But hey, I'm just a random blogger who shops at Wal-Mart...]

Samantha- “I love this country- however i wasn’t born here and don’t have the right to vote- so i beg of you all to really do your research and be educated when you cast your vote this coming november…. and if you’re in doubt- vote for obama! Mainly because if she gets elected my green card probably won’t get renewed!!!”

[If you are in doubt, you'd probably better do more research then! Green card? I have nothing against people who are here legally, so I guess you are OK on that point. But yeah, that's an outright attack if I ever saw one. I don't think any of them are against LEGAL immigrants. Wow, I think you might be smoking the same drugs as Lohan...]

xoxo
Lindsay and Samantha

America is doomed. Are these the next generation of political pundits? We are so screwed…

Barack Obama Details Plan to Keep America Safe

September 09, 2008 By: Wess Stewart Category: Election 2008, Guns, National Defense, Spin

At least he’s finally saying what his plans are. Not that they sound very assuring.

Really good plan there, Mr. Obama. Oh, wait, double-plus ungood.
