Meanwhile, Obama goes out for Ice Cream…

While Iranian citizens are being shot and killed for peacefully protesting, the President has decided to go out for ice cream.

Seriously!

Here’s some brilliant Iran coverage from Mark Knoller, from CBS.

Did I say Iran? I meant more important world issues.

Reports on the Obama’s treats from Liz Davis, owner of The Dairy Godmother in Alexandria, Va, in business for 8 yrs.

Obama had vanilla frozen custard in a cup with hot fudge and toasted almonds. The girls went more elaborate.

You’re gonna laff: Obama & the girls actually bought Frozen Puppy pops for Bo: flavors: pumpkin, peanut butter and yogurt…

I’m not laughing. One day, Mr. K, Mark Levin may run into you on the street. I’d like to see that…then I could laugh.

Do the US a favor, REPORT THE FREAKING NEWS!

And one more thing, if I EVER hear a liberal whine about Bush reading a book while the planes hit the towers, I’m going to puke. “Bush knew! He didn’t stop it!” Well, Obama knows. The world knows. He’s not stopping anything. Heck, he doesn’t have to stop anything, just take a strong stance against the idiots over there!

Meh. I’m angry and ranting.

First of all you are comparing two things that are no comparison. Bush sat and did nothing while our nation was under attack. Our nation is not under attack from Iran (nor would it ever be).

Secondly, if Obama jumped up and stuck America’s nose into it you’d be calling him a warmongering interventionist and you know it.

Third, you have no evidence the election was rigged. A matter of fact look up “BBC iran propaganda”. You’ll see that many of the people were actually supporting the current president and it’s just not being reported.

Seriously. Attacking Obama for taking his girls out for ice cream? You can do better than this….

  2. Wess Stewart:

You missed the point. If Bush was president, and he was out having ice cream the media would bash him to no end about it.

THAT is the point I was making.

Not saying it’s wrong for Obama to go out with his family, even the president needs some downtime. But if this would have been Bush, there would be “riots in the streets” over it.

And no, I wouldn’t call him a warmongering interventionist. I prefer peace, but when force is needed, it’s needed.

Third point, I’m going by what the media says. Perhaps I shouldn’t trust the US media. ;)

Not attacking, per se, just pointing out what would happen…

  3. orangejuice:

No I didn’t miss the point, I just merely showed that the example you used were not consistant. Yes Bush sat around during an emergency and did nothing. And he got bashed for it. But during his mistake our country was attacked. In this instance our country is not being attacked and there really is no reason for the US to intervene. You are grasping at straws.

  4. Wess Stewart:

    No, you missed MY point.

Bush did nothing during an emergency. People died.

Obama is doing nothing during an emergency. People died.

Granted, it’s not exactly an emergency in our country, I don’t see anyone from the media calling out Obama when, if it was Bush, they would skewer him as quickly as they could.

THAT is my point. I’m not bashing Obama with this, I’m bashing the MEDIA.

  5. orangejuice:

Yes I will agree the media sucks, but still the logic behind this is flawed.

There will always be situations where people die. The president cannot get involved everytime. Pol Pot, Saddam and the Kurds, Darfur, Sri Lanka, etc, all terrible things that we did nothing to stop. In some cases we even assisted in the killing, like giving Saddam gas in the 80’s. So Obama not doing something about this is not a huge deal, often America doesn’t stop things like this and Ron Paul would argue Obama is doing the right thing by not meddling.

Bush on the other hand had our country under immediate attack and americans were being murdered and he did nothing. No comparison. Hence the media attacking Bush more.
